OUR HISTORY

A PASSION FOR OVER 40 YEARS

In the 1980s, Arnaldo Di Biase, driven by a fervent passion and inspired by an ambitious dream, founded the company "Funghi di Biase" in Cusano Mutri, starting the production of jars of mushrooms and artichokes in oil, true treasure troves of preserved nature.

 

As the years passed, the company's journey was intertwined with a web of unceasing growth, a narrative outlined by dedication to quality and an ongoing commitment to innovation. During this period, Funghi di Biase underwent a significant transformation, with targeted investments in new technologies and production processes, consolidating its position in the market and gaining a prominent role in the horeca sector.

The quality-oriented approach became progressively more tangible and evident, sparking an ever-increasing demand for Di Biase products and pushing the company to innovate to anticipate the dynamics of a changing market. Arnaldo, in collaboration with his son Emilio and his brother, orchestrated strategic decisions that redefined production, orienting it toward the dry and frozen sectors, masterfully anticipating the trends of a fermenting market.

Rooted in the rolling hills on the slopes of Mount Mutria, as in a delicate literary composition, Funghi di Biase feeds on the riches of the earth, transforming King Porcino and other gifts of the forest into a sumptuous banquet for the senses. The freezing process at -18 °C constitutes the guarded secret, an embrace that preserves the organoleptic qualities unchanged, ensuring the persistence of flavors throughout each season.

 

In 2017, the third generation, represented by Arnaldo and Francesco Di Biase, selected a new headquarters in San Salvatore Telesino, conceiving it as a stage for their innovative vision. In the new facility, they renewed not only the image and sales strategies, but also the very soul of the company. Investments in state-of-the-art machinery helped create a perfect harmony with nature, resulting in new references, increased production capacity and new lines, including "vivinatura," a green symphony celebrating respect for the environment and expansion into new international markets.

 

Today, Biase's mission is a symphony that resonates in the horeca and large-scale retail sector, a journey that transports their gastronomic treasures to Italy and beyond, aspiring to win the heart of the G.D.O.
